Last year the extremely hyped Final Fantasy XIII didn’t capture the appraisal gamers wanted. Some consider Final Fantasy XIII one of the worst games of 2010, which isn’t necessarily true but it definitely got a lot more hype than it deserved. But you know what they say, if at first you don’t succeed try again. Well Square Enix is trying again with a new title Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The game will be released next winter, and it will be on the PS3 and Xbox 360. According to the press release,
“FINAL FANTASY XIII-2” is currently in production with an aim for producing high quality game content which exceeds “FINAL FANTASY XIII” in every aspect; namely, a brand-new story which stems from the previous title as well as a battle system which has evolved further since “XIII” – and more.
Well that doesn’t seem like a hard task at all considering the low standard Square Enix left the past two Final Fantasy titles, just don’t get your hopes up.
Info: Final Fantasy XIII has sold a total 6 million units worldwide, it has a Metacritic aggregated score of 83.
