After almost 13 million votes by users on ESPN.com, the next NFL star to grace the cover of Madden will be…..Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns! Going into the bracket, Hillis was a dark horse to win. He was a 10th seed and had to beat the likes of RB Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens, QB Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons, RB Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Super Bowl MVP QB Aaron Rodgers of the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers.
Garnering 66% of the final vote, Hillis was able to take out Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick. The city of Cleveland finally has some good news after years of bad luck concerning their sports teams…..unless, of course, the Madden curse strikes again. Hillis is a bruising back with a hard running style, and a leaping ability you’d never guess possible for a guy his size. In 2010, he became the first Browns RB to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since 2008, and managed to score 11 TD’s that season. (Editor’s Note: I bet 99% of you did not understand anything he just said.)
