Steam makes almost $1 Billion in 2010

FADE a Research & Analysis company has just release Steam’s profit for 2010, according to their report the digital distribution giant has made $970 million USD in 2010. The top selling game on steam was Call of Duty Black Ops, racking up just almost $100 million dollars, second place was Modern Warfare 2, followed by Left 4 Dead 2.

Activision was the number one publisher this year, racking up a good $153 million USD for the entire year. Valve one of the bigger supporters for Steam found itself in 3rd place for 2010. For those of you who are in fear of digital distribution taking over the industry this may be a dark sign for you.
