EA Origin (EA’s version of Steam) is growing. On top of being the only platform where you can get digital version EA’s latest games, now other publishers are joining EA in their venture. Capcom, THQ, and Warner Bros Interactive will be putting their games in the digital platform.
According to EA there are already 6 million users registered in EA Origin, games such as Batman: Arkham City, Saints Row the Third will soon be available in Origin. Personally after using EA Origin, I don’t think they will ever match the quality of Steam. But since games like Star Wars The Old Republic and Battlefield will only be available in Origin it’s safe to say they will continue to grow. Whether they will ever be as good as Steam remains to be seen.
